Adult only, super dog friendly, luxury glamping retreat set in the heart of beautiful Rutland. Just 2 glamping pods and 1 Shepherds Hut. All stylishly furnished, heated and super dog friendly. Everything you need for a relaxing break whether it be getting away from it all with your canine companion,  a romantic escape or just wanting to combine the beauty of the great outdoors without having to compromise on the home comforts! All 3 units have underfloor heating, internal en-suites, kitchenettes with fridges and freezer compartments, combination microwave/oven (pods) or oven (Shepherds Rest.) Woodpecker and Bumblebee have their own raised decking area; Shepherds rest has its own wood fired hot tub. All units have outdoor arm chairs, recliners, fire pits; fully enclosed, 1m stock and rail fenced gardens and picnic bench. Each are a good distance apart to ensure you can enjoy the peace and tranquility without being overlooked. Escape from it all and enjoy the magic.

The site is secluded and off the beaten track, just on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Belton In Rutland, 4 miles from the quaint and historic market town of Uppingham. Just up the road (2 min walk) is the Rutland Round circular or a little bit further are Launde woods, Wakerley Woods and lots of other dog friendly places to walk if you are seeking shade during the summer months. For your canine companion you will find a goodie bag alongside your own together with a water bowl ready and filled for your arrival. A dog mat is provided under the sofa together with additional dog bowls, throws and toys for their enjoyment. Outside the pod you will find doggy drying mitts for those wetter days together with plenty of poo bags for your convenience. We really do want your pooch to enjoy their stay as much as you. This is the reason behind how and why we opened RRR, we have often struggled to find appropriate places to stay with our dogs where they can relax too. At RRR we have designed it for their enjoyment and safety too whilst ensuring the hoomans can still enjoy their bit of luxury too!

The famous Rutland Water is just a 10-15 minute drive where you can find walks, cycle hire, canoeing and lots, lots more…..even a beach!

So much to see and do in Rutland whether it be visiting historic house and gardens, enjoying the off road rambling, chilling in the seclusion of the meadow or enjoying one of the numerous dog friendly pubs and restaurants we have listed on our website…..

Check out our website    www.rutlandruralretreats.com   for availability and pricing. Just click on the link at the top of any of the pages. Certain midweek stays attract discounted rates as do stays of 3 nights or more. Prices range from £135 per pod per night to £175 per pod per night during bank holidays. Please note, minimum stay is 2 nights. The longer you stay, the less you pay per night!

Louise Pearson, August 2023

We had such an amazing stay with our two goldies, lovely for us to relax and the dogs too, as quiet and secure so they could potter around our pod whilst we could relax. The accommodation was lovely and clean and had special treats waiting for both us and the doggies . We are going again soon as it was so lovely .

Miscellaneous Notes

Each unit has its own fully enclosed garden (1m high stock fencing with top rail) within the seclusion of the private 4 acre meadow. Woodpecker pod is the furthest and perfect if you have a reactive dog. We are surrounded by walking trails on and off road. No animals are grazed within the glamping meadow to avoid temptation for curious canines but you may pass by horses grazing in the adjacent fenced fields as you walk to the glamping meadow from the car park.
