Egleton is a small village, located just a 5 minute drive from the traditional market town of Oakham where you will find a number of independent shops, deli, cafes and restaurants. A 20 minute drive will take you to Stamford, regarded as one of the finest stone towns in England. Stamford has a market day every Friday, which is bustling with traders selling local veg, meats, pies, bread and fresh fish. No visit to Stamford is complete without a visit to Burghley House, an Elizabethan stately home, where visitor facilities include a restaurant, gift shop, gardens and beautiful walks around the historic parkland. Burghley House is also home to the international Burghley Horse Trials, which are held here every year.

Finches Cottage was fully renovated and Interior designed to a high standard by the award winning “The Home Styling Company”, in 2018, and comprises of the following,

- Well equipped John Lewis kitchen

- Master Bedroom with a king sized bed

- Double bedroom

- Twin bedroom complete with bunk bed

- Sitting Room, with Smart TV and log burner

- Dining Room, seating 6, with bi-folding doors leading to the rear garden

- Main Bathroom with large rainfall shower

- Downstairs WC

- Rear Garden with countryside views (Please note - The garden is enclosed with a chicken wire style fencing at an approximate height of 2ft)

Upon Arrival, our guests are greeted with a small welcome gift, children activity packs and a doggy gift bag. Hot drink essentials are provided, ensuring no last minute stops at the shop are needed, and a supply of eco-friendly toiletries are already in place for your perusal.

**During low season, a supply of logs are also provided for the log fire**

With miles and miles of countryside surrounding the cottage, we welcome guests to bring their dogs along on holiday with them. With many local pubs being dog friendly, you can spend the whole day with your furry best friend, both inside and away from the cottage.

*Unfortunately, we can only accept a maximum of 2 dogs*

Luxury wicker bedding is provided to ensure your dog is comfortable for the duration of their stay, and there's even a nice doggy surprise for our furry guests upon arrival.

*We do request all dogs to remain downstairs, and a stair gate has been provided*
