When venturing out for the day, head down to Salcombe's North Sands, popular with families because of its shallow waters which are perfect for paddling and swimming safely, with beachside restaurants for you to wander to for a spot of lunch. For the sportier types, head over to South Sands where you can hire kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and many more activities, so try something new? Whether you're after fine-dining restaurants, classic pubs or a contemporary bar for a drink, Salcombe has it all. Mallards will be the base for a wonderful family holiday you won't forget.
