Option 1 (Short and Sweet) Welcome to Wagtail Walks and Training! We're Lyn and Mike, the founders of our Ipswich-based dog training and behaviorist team. Along with our trainers Sarah, Ann, and Amber, and our three poodles Boris, Bertie, and Maggie, we're here to help you and your dog. We're certified Pro Dog Trainers and award-winning behaviorists with years of experience. Having run an animal rescue in Spain for six years, we specialize in understanding and helping rescue dogs. We believe no dog is "untrainable"—we find solutions. Our training center features a large, fully fenced field and an undercover area for any weather. We keep our group sizes small (up to six dogs) and always have at least three trainers on hand, so you'll get plenty of individual attention. Our realistic training environment helps your dog learn to handle distractions safely. We offer flexible scheduling, so you won't lose your spot if you miss a class. We also have free parking, a nice cafe with homemade cakes and coffee, and a welcoming community of dog lovers. We hope you'll join us! Option 2 (A Bit More Detailed) Hi there! We're Lyn and Mike, the founders of Wagtail Walks and Training Ipswich. We're an award-winning team of certified Pro Dog Trainers and behaviorists, dedicated to helping you and your dog thrive. Our team includes trainers Sarah, Ann, and Amber, plus our own poodles Boris, Bertie, and Maggie who are often here to help! We believe every dog has potential, and we're committed to finding the right solutions for you and your pup. Our custom-built training center is wheel chair friendly and designed for real-world learning. We keep our groups small (a maximum of six dogs) and always have at least three trainers on hand, ensuring you get the personal support you need. We understand life can be unpredictable, so our training is flexible—if you can't make a session, your spot is always saved for you. For the humans, we offer free, easy parking and a welcoming cafe with delicious homemade cakes and coffee. Mike and Lyn don’t just run a puppy-training course ; they do so much more. Their positive and friendly dispositions really help. They give personal attention to any person or dog who needs it. Lyn is especially calm and kind even when your dog seems a little mad ! They are truely kind and have so much experience. A joy to go to their classes ..and my dog loves it at Wagtails and Walks

Good work with dogs, good facilities, friendly.

Barbara Lawer, September 2025

Wagtails have been a game-changer for me and my anxious little dog.

After completing a six-week puppy training course elsewhere that didn’t meet our needs, I wasn’t sure where to turn next. From my very first enquiry with Wagtails, I’ve felt supported every step of the way. They’ve offered real, practical advice tailored to our situation, with 1:1 guidance and gentle encouragement to help my dog gradually join a small group session.

We’re not quite there yet, but I’m feeling optimistic—and I think my dog is too!

What stands out most is how much they genuinely care. This isn’t just a job for them—it’s their passion, and that shines through in everything they do.
