This cosy barn sleeps two people. You enter into a quaint open living space. It is light and airy with bold oak beams and a log burner taking centre stage. It is something I look for when choosing our holiday destination as we don’t have one at home, so it is a real treat. Read More
Gipping Barn boasts a beautiful farmhouse styled kitchen, with some quirky antique pieces. The kitchen has everything you will need for a home away from home, so if you don’t want to dine out each night you can cook yourself some hearty home classics. Upon arrival we were welcomed to Gipping Barn with our very own breakfast basket, a hamper containing a whole selection of locally sourced produce. This was a lovely personal touch. It also meant that we could settle upon arrival, knowing that our breakfast was sorted.
From the kitchen you can head out into the garden. This is all enclosed so we could let Alfie out without worrying that he would wander off. Now, the highlight! Gipping Barn has it’s own private hot tub. It is all undercover so you can enjoy the bubbles whatever the weather. Alfie is fascinated by a hot tub. He spends his time hovering, hoping that someone would splash just a little bit, turning a relaxing experience into one big game. You take the winding staircase up into the mezzanine bedroom, with its gorgeous sleigh bed. It’s absolutely gorgeous. There is a ‘no dogs on thefurniture’ rule throughout all of the Woodfarm properties so Alfie made do with his own bed.
In other words, he spent the night sulking like the true princess he is. As a dog owner it’s the little touches tailored to suit the dog that I really like. There was a selection of treats from their local pet shop waiting for us. All healthy natural treats, and Alfie loved them. The thing I really loved was that there is an enclosed dog meadow, so your dogs can play as they please. I can imagine it to be a great place for your dogs to socialise over the summer months. There is also a small corner fenced off – just in case you have a nervous dog, so they can still enjoy themselves without being disrupted by other dogs.
