Built over 250 years ago to serve the local mining population, the inn was extended to provide accommodation for passengers when the Severn & Wye Railway began operating steam trains through the village in 1875. The interior of the bar and dining room are tastefully adorned with photographs and historical artefacts relating to the village’s rich heritage – making any visit here a fascinating experience for anyone with a shared interest in local history. Wheelchair access and facilities available. Forest garden, children’s play-area, eight bedrooms. Walkers, cyclists, children and dogs welcome.
