Tudor Farmhouse Hotel

Tucked into the ancient village of Clearwell on the edge of the Forest of Dean, Tudor Farmhouse is a 20-room boutique hotel that takes its welcome for dogs every bit as seriously as its welcome for their owners. Three of our bedrooms are specifically set up for guests travelling with dogs, each with easy access to the outside. On arrival, visiting dogs will find a bed, blanket, towel, food and water bowls, and a welcome treat waiting for them in the room. A dog bath with hot water is available to wash off muddy paws after a day out — and in this part of the world, muddy paws are more or less guaranteed. Dogs are warmly welcome to join their owners for meals in our conservatory or garden, where you can enjoy food from our 2 AA Rosette kitchen while your dog settles in beside you. The walking from Tudor Farmhouse is exceptional. Several routes set off directly from the hotel, taking you through our own 14 acres of grounds and out into the wider landscape. The Forest of Dean offers 27,000 acres of ancient woodland to explore, with well-marked trails ranging from gentle ambles to longer hikes through terrain that is genuinely beautiful in every season. Wild boar, fallow deer and an abundance of birdlife make every walk an experience. The Wye Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is also on the doorstep, with riverside paths and dramatic viewpoints within easy reach.
