West Lane house offers a unique opportunity to stay in a beautiful village setting with easy access to tourist sights of Liverpool, Southport and surrounding areas if that’s what you want. Alternatively it’s a great base to explore the wealth of dog walking, bird watching and historic attractions of the area. Anthony Gormleys statues “Another Place” are a short drive or half hour walk away at Crosby beach. Hen harriers a regular spot near Broomscroft Road and barn owls on Rimrose Valley with its canalside walk and wildflower meadows. National Trust properties at Formby home of the red squirrel, Rufford & Speke Hall. RNIB sights and Martin Mere Wetland Trust in easy reach. Closer to home(sometimes from the garden) buzzards,owls and woodpeckers.

Cooked breakfasts a house specialty with eggs from our own hens cooked the way you like them. Rare breed bacon and sausages from the local farm shop also a favourite and not just with our human visitors!
