My dog, Dexter, was 3 and I had tried all sorts to get him to enjoy swimming but he was too scared. He only ever went in water up to his belly and then he would walk back out. I wanted him to be able to swim because he's a German shepherd and I wanted hydrotherapy to be an option if needed in the future. I took him to swimming lessons, took him to swimming places with doggy friends that swam and even swam in places myself to encourage him in. But nothing would convince him!

However, WagWater of Southport are actual miracle workers! I warned them that he may not even put his foot in the pool but they weren't concerned. And within 5 minutes, Dexter was swimming! The ladies supported Dexter in the most fabulous way, gentle and encouraging, showing him how to position his body and showing him the way out. By the end of our session, Dexter was even jumping in to the water! I couldn't believe it! I took videos to send to friends and family and they all asked if I had used AI, they couldn't believe it either!

Since then, Dexter takes every opportunity to swim when out on a walk! He has swam in lakes, rivers and even went in the sea! He loves it! All thanks to WagWater of Southport!

Our Shanni had never swam before.

They were patient and know what they're doing.

Really friendly but professional.

Wouldn't take her anywhere else now.

Don't know who enjoys it more, Shanni or us watching.
