Lyndale House

Lyndale House was formerly the Shoulder of Mutton inn until replaced by a new version across the road, which serves excellent meals and is dog friendly..There are 2 other pubs in the village and within a 5 mile radius many other good pubs with food. The village is an old lead mining village dating back to Roman times. It has a good Co-Op, Post Office with deli and newspapers/magazines, Fish and Chip Shop, general hardware and 2 hairdressers. Outside the house is a bus stop with regular services to Sheffield, and to Bakewell and Castleton. The garden has locking points for bicycles. A delightful garden provides seating looking out across the village and up the hills, often with parasailers and hang gliders in the sky above. There are multiple seating areas and 2 BBQ areas, a pond and large lawn. Two rooms are available as a family unit with private bathroom, or when one room is booked the other is closed to ensure a private bathroom. Choose between a double bedroom or a twin-bedded room. Both have kettle and provisions, smart TV, wardrobe and drawers. The modern bathroom is equipped with a large shower, wc and basin plus a separate dressing table with stool and mirror. Breakfast is available at an additional charge to the room only rate.
