Wensleydale Railway

Diesel trains run between Leeming Bar Station and Leyburn Station with stations along the way at Bedale and Finghall Lane. Tickets allow you to get on and off the train so you can explore towns along the way. Dogs are welcome on the trains - tickets cost £1 - and in the station cafes. Our dog really enjoyed the ride as long as he could see out the window or a door! Both Bedale and Leyburn are worth a visit, I can't speak for the other stops on the line. Leyburn has plenty of dog friendly eateries although some only offer outside seating. Dog friendly eateries didn't seem so obvious in Bedale but it's important to say that we weren't looking very hard.
