Megan's Cottage has something to offer all ages and is ideally situated for countryside walks, fun days out or just relaxing and admiring the wonderful views from Megan's cottage.
And a bonus is the local Inn just a short stroll from the cottage.
The reason Ysgubor Celyn has Megan in its name:
Megan was our much loved boarder collie who started her early life in the old derelict barn ,she was destined to be a sheep dog but Megan had other idea's and so did her farmer owner. I used to see her looking at me longingly from under the old barn door when I walked passed with my Labradors ,she looked so lonely. I ask the farmer if we could have her , eventually he agreed and Megan came and lived with us next door at the Local Inn. She loved coming back to stay at the cottage and exploring her old haunts.
Sadly Megan passed away in 2013 ,but she will always be remembered with much love and affection . Gone but never forgotten.

Though booked through Sykes our only contact was with Jannette the actual owner. With the Covid-19 situation it was impossible to get hold of Sykes. Jannette first made contact a few weeks prior to our arrival and kept in regular contact and was willing to offer a refund right up to the last minute if we had to cancel. Something Sykes weren’t prepared to offer.
Well, after much trepidation we decided to go ahead and we weren’t disappointed. Far from it, what a delightful place; the village, the area, the cottage, the gardens. Just what we all needed. Jannette has thought of everything and has a very capable housekeeper who we were also in contact with.
We loved every minute, the grandsons did, the dog did, in fact everyone had a wonderful time.
I’d also recommend the Mulberry Inn next door...lovely food and very accommodating.
Date of stay: 31st August 2020

I stayed here with my two dogs last year and what a brilliant time we had. There's so much picturesque countryside to explore, the dogs loved it!
There's loads of space for the children and dogs to run around while we relaxed. Perfect x
