Yr Hen Olchfa
A lovely, welcoming and homely town house located in the centre of Bala, within the Snowdonia National Park, tucked away from the main hustle and bustle off the high street but within a short stroll of all the amenities this delightful town has to offer. The town house is a great base and ideal for couples, friends and families wishing to spend time together and provides an ideal relaxing town house for a short break or longer. The town house is on two floors, the master bedroom is on the ground floor, together with a well-appointed bathroom and it also benefits from having a king-size bed and matching fitted bedroom furniture with ample storage and hanging space. The conservatory, which leads off the master bedroom, is a great place to relax and hideaway and enjoy that early morning coffee. The first floor has a single bedroom and the living accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with an open plan sitting room and well-equipped kitchen and dining area where you can relax and enjoy those leisurely breakfasts or evening suppers. The sitting area is comfortable and cosy with two sofas, one being a sofa bed, and a small balcony offering a lovely place to sit and enjoy the morning sunshine. Outside this lovely town house is a small yard, with a small wooden bench, leading to the garage which is an ideal place to securely lock away your bikes, boards, kayaks and canoes. This delightful town house is ideally located to enjoy the fishing, watersport activities and sailing available at Llyn Tegid, Bala Lake, the largest natural lake in Wales, only a five minute walk away, or drive the short distance to the National Whitewater Centre and enjoy a day of adventure and adrenaline! A great family day out to enjoy is Bala Lake Railway, take a trip on the 2ft narrow gauge steam trains which give excellent views of the lake amid its surrounding pastoral and woodland scenery, and of the nearby mountains, Arenig Fawr, Aran Benllyn and Aran Fawddwy. Bala's pretty town centre offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, and is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful National Park and stunning countryside. The town house is also ideally located to visit the renowned mountain bike centre at Coed-y-Brenin, and further afield why not visit the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog and take the World Famous Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam train to the harbour town of Porthmadog or visit Llechwedd slate caverns, which is now also the home of ZipWorld Titan, the longest four-man zip wire in Europe, Bounce Below, an underground trampoline and Antur Stiniog Mountain Bike Centre with its various downhill trails, there really is something for everyone.
