Choose to dine formally around the impressive table in the dining room, or take your treats outside to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining in warmer weather, with plenty of room for your four-legged friends to play. As your evening draws to a close, retreat to the first floor where you will find a wide variety of bedrooms to choose from, consisting of a king-size and a twin with en-suite shower rooms, four king-size rooms and a sitting area with two double sofa beds, each of these zip/link rooms provides a bright and airy spot to catch up on your sleep. Each of the bedrooms are individually named after the larger tarns in Cumbria and the doors to these rooms have hand painted pictures of those tarns, specifically commissioned from a local artist. In addition, artworks on the walls in the bedrooms have photographs of the relevant tarns, again produced to order by the local artist specifically for use in the Yewtree House. Begin your days of adventure in the garden with a cup of tea in hand amongst the countryside breeze, before setting out to explore the lands of the Lake District up close. The immediate area of the cottage is peaceful and perfect for walks with your furry friends. The local pub, The Queens Head is just 500 yards away, which has just celebrated its 300th year as an Inn and still retains much of its old world charm whilst offering excellent modern dining options in the bar or restaurant. Alternatively, venture into the nearby village of Pooley Bridge where you'll find a host of amenities including local shops and numerous pubs serving a variety of food and beverages. Within easy reach by car is the popular town of Penrith, with its wide selection of shops and eateries, accompanied by historic wonders and a museum, it makes a great day trip for all the family.
