Wren's Nest Cottage

Wren's Nest Cottage is the most perfect excuse for exploring this beautiful area. The cottage is a delight. The owner has preserved the charming character of this Grade II listed cottage and added touches of luxury. The freestanding bath provides an indulgent soak after climbing Roseberry Topping and exploring the Cleveland Hills. The cottage features original beamed ceilings throughout and the multi-fuel stove in the sitting room adds extra romance to a cosy evening in this lovely retreat. There is a double bed settee for an additional adult. Cyclists will be in seventh heaven here at the foot of the Cleveland Hills and there is secure storage on site after a day's easy or challenging cycling. The large shared yard is south-facing and is an ideal place to enjoy some sunshine and a cup of coffee. Guisborough is often described as the gateway to the North York Moors and this ancient market town, listed in the Domesday Book, is steeped in history. Gisborough Priory dates back to the 12th century. There is no shortage of amazing attractions and events to visit across the area with something for absolutely everyone whatever their age and interest. Rich in history and heritage there is an abundance of castles, abbeys, historic houses and museums. The North York Moors offer lots of choices from a countryside picnic, a hike on the moors, a trip to the beach or following in the footsteps of Harry Potter on the North York Moors Steam Railway. The delights of the Yorkshire coast are within an easy drive with Whitby, Runswick Bay and Staithes a must-see. The drive to Helmsley via Rievaulx Abbey is highly recommended and this delightful market town has boutiques, delis, cafes and superb dining at a choice of hotels and pubs. An excellent cottage in a wonderful location.

One king-size double bedroom. Bathroom with freestanding bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting room with fold-out dining table, sofa bed and multi-fuel stove.
