Windmill Cottage

Windmill Cottage is a lovely terrace property dating back to around the 1800s, set on the bustling high street in the Lincolnshire village of Heckington. With two bedrooms and a small courtyard area outside to the rear, this accommodation is well-suited to couples and young families looking to explore the local area. Though the cottage is welcoming and full of character, it is also in a wonderful setting, with access to the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. Step through the front room to the sitting room, which is filled with natural light from the bay window. Relax and unwind with a cup of tea in hand and the company of your loved ones. You can cook up a tasty meal in the kitchen if you fancy staying in, and gather around the table in the dining room to chat about the day you've just had. As the evening rolls in, it welcomes two peaceful bedrooms upstairs, served by the family bathroom. Outside, you can sit with your glass of wine on a warm evening, with the small courtyard to the rear housing a patio and outdoor furniture to sit on. You are very close to the shop, pub and other amenities of the village, as well as being just two minutes away from the only eight-sailed working windmill in the world, Heckington Windmill, recently renovated with Lottery Funding, it grinds its own flour which is used in the lovely tea room on site, with the opportunity to have a guided tour of the mill, this historic machinery provides a great day out! Being just a short stroll away from the station, this cottage gives you access to the wider region including Boston, Lincoln, Peterborough and Sleaford. You also have a choice of walks, cycle paths and many other outdoor activities. Within driving distance is The Wash National Nature Reserve, one of the most outstanding coastal wetlands in Europe, accessed via the Peter Scott Walk. Climb a range of gentle hills in the Lincolnshire Wolds and even head out to the Norfolk Coast AONB for a stroll along the beach. This is a lovely choice for your next UK holiday.
