Ideally situated close to the North Yorkshire moors national park, the accommodation offer adult couples a peaceful rural retreat to relax and unwind with your canine family. The cottages provide a luxurious base from which to to explore the local area, with stunning moorland , forestry and areas of outstanding natural beauty within a few miles. With many miles of footpaths and bridleways to walk or ride which allow you to see the breath-taking beauty of North Yorkshire off the beaten track. A plethora of historic ruined abbeys and old market towns are within the local area, including the beautiful city of York being just 40 minute drive away. These wonderful places all give you the chance to absorb the atmospheric backdrop and the experience the story of past times. The cottages themselves are converted Regency era buildings on our working cattle farm. The buildings have been converted to a high standard, whilst striving to maintain the original character . Designed and decorated by ourselves , with making your stay as comfortable and restful as possible always in mind. We can provide free secure storage for mountain bikes, as well as stabling and grazing for your horse [ at extra cost] should you wish to bring along your equine family as well! We are lucky enough to have an excellent dog friendly pub serving good home cooked 'pub grub' just 5 minutes walk from the cottages, which all helps to make ' self catering' easy! The peace and quiet is only broken by the sound of birds, including a few resident Tawny owls, cows and calves having a conversation , or the odd tractor working the land.
