Climb the 199 steps up to the Abbey ruins, or take an exhilarating walk along the cliff top Cleveland Way, with amazing views along the coastline. The long sandy beaches are wonderful for children, with donkey rides, brightly painted beach huts and seaside stalls. For something a little different, enjoy an evening ghost walk, or perhaps a whale watching trip out to sea. There are pretty fishing villages to visit, including Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes, the spectacular North York Moors National Park to discover and many local attractions, making this cottage a superb base any time of the year.
