Victory Cottage

Victory Cottage is a beautiful thatched chocolate box cottage set in a quiet location within Cottesmore village with countryside views to the front and village church to the rear of the cottage. Victory Cottage is 4 miles away from Stretton Lakes and 5 miles from Rutland Water. Fishing at Stretton lakes is free for Cottage guests. 

The cottage is complemented by an abundance of period-style features, a very homely cosy feel, all comforts are provided, contemporary kitchen and bath/shower rooms. Antique style electrical fittings and subtle lighting. 

Victory cottage sleeps 5 guests, two double bedrooms with king-size beds and a single bedroom with single bed. The master bedroom has an en suite wet room, the second bedroom has a separate family bathroom, both bedrooms have TVs, the third bedroom we are choosing to use as a dressing room / single bedroom. 

Our cottage benefits from underfloor heating to the ground floor, log burner (electric effect) column radiators to the first floor and double glazing throughout, a very cosy cottage to relax and unwind after a days site seeing in Rutland and surrounding areas. Outside the cottage, there is a fully enclosed south facing private sheltered garden, with a patio and BBQ area which has comfy seating, a table and Parasol. A Gas BBQ is provided. Please note Victory Cottage has no hot tub or sauna.

Ideally located for walking, cycling, sailing, fishing and bird watching. Cottesmore village is located centrally to visit the local market towns of Stamford, Oakham and Uppingham. Car parking is available for two cars. Cottesmore is a picturesque village which comprises of a Village Store / Post Office, there is a beautiful thatched pub within the heart of the village called The Sun Inn which is just a two-minute walk from Victory Cottage. There is also a lovely fish and chip restaurant available to dine in or takeaway. Village walks and Playing fields can be accessed by a short walk which is to the side of the cottage. 

The nearest supermarket is on the outskirts of Oakham 3 miles away. For those looking for some relaxation and pampering, the Holistic Health Centre in the village offers, Acupuncture, Chinese Massage, Beauty Treatments, Herbal and Nutritional therapy.
