Within walking distance of the centre of Betws-y-Coed, the Gateway to Snowdonia, is the delightful Ty’n y Fron Cottage. The property is situated next to the owners’ 5 star guest house, where breakfast can be arranged (subject to availability and extra cost). Ty’n y Fron Cottage has the living room and kitchen on the first floor to take advantage of the valley views, along with the kitchen and bathroom, whilst the bedrooms are downstairs. Guests have use of a patio and seating area, as well as shared use of the B&B gardens which extend to over an acre. There are a number of hotels, cafés and restaurants serving delicious Welsh food only a few minutes’ walk away.
Betws-y-Coed is popular for both walkers and mountain bikers, with trails in the Gwydyr Forest and Penmachno, with cycle hire available in the village. Children will love the exciting Zip World Fforest tree top nets, which are also within walking distance, whilst the fabulous Zip World Velocity, Titan and Bounce Below, are only a 30-minute drive. The varous routes for climbing Snowden are just a short distance away. To the north is Llanrwst and the Conwy Valley, with activities including Surf Snowdonia, an inland artificial surfing lagoon, or if you’re not into catching a wave, just catch a coffee and watch the action. Conwy and its mighty castle, as well as the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno are also well worth a visit. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
