This modern third floor apartment is conveniently located for guests to explore the old town of Penryn and is within easy reach of the busy port and town of Falmouth and beaches. There are excellent public transport links, including the local Penryn railway station linking main line in to Truro and Penzance. Park and float, and water taxis are available from the nearby marina, which offer guests a convenient and quick route into the harbour main town and the events square at Falmouth.
Falmouth is a vibrant harbour town all year round, as well as a busy university town with an excellent calendar of events throughout the year, including Sea Shanty Week in June and Falmouth week, which has an extravaganza of food, music and carnival atmosphere in August. There is also the famous Oyster Festival in October.
The main square on The Moor hosts regular summer and Christmas markets. The town has a multi- screen cinema, art galleries, museum and excellent selection of restaurants and shops. The old town of Penryn has a great selection of local pubs, restaurants and takeaways, which are all within easy walking distance of the apartment. There is also easy access in to the cathedral city of Truro, where guests can experience great shopping, bars, cafés, restaurants, cinema and theatre.
There is so much to do within this local area, and something for everything. There is sailing, watersports, scuba diving and great coastal walks, wildlife, sub-tropical gardens including nearby Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick. The National Maritime Museum in the events square is home to many prestigious events. The town offers a wide selection of restaurants, bars, shops, museum art galleries and sailing events. Wonderful beaches and beach café culture including Gyllyngvase and the nature reserve at Swanpool. The area offers great cycle trails from Devoran on the south coast to Porthtowan on the rugged north coast. Beach 3 miles. Shop ¼ mile, pub ½ mile and restaurant 1 mile.
