This charming Grade II listed terraced cottage is situated in a quiet side street in the heart of the old fishing village of Mevagissey, Cornwall. Set mainly over the first and second floors, this attractive cottage is perfect for families wishing to explore this lovely part of the country. You enter the property on the ground floor into the porch before taking the stairs to the open plan living room with comfortable sitting and dining areas. The bedrooms are all on the second floor with a double, twin and bunk bedrooms, giving choices for all the family. Outside, this lovely cottage has a courtyard where you can sit and relax with a morning coffee, whilst planning your day’s adventure. This delightful cottage is close to the distinctive twin harbour that provides a haven for the many fishing boats as they land their daily catch. Within minutes of walking from the front door, you will be in the centre of the village where, in picture postcard style, pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways, along with galleries and shops, cluster around the harbour walls and line the pretty narrow streets. On the harbour, there are two free attractions, the local museum and the aquarium, both well worth visiting. A gentle stroll up the footpath or cycle trail at the back of the village, to the top of the valley, is the most visited garden in Britain and certainly one of the most interesting, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, where a visit is thoroughly recommended whatever time of the year. Also close by, over the hill to the east, is the village of Pentewan with its safe, sandy beach and lovely old harbour which, together with a fine pub and cafes, make a visit most worthwhile. In the village cyclists are well-catered for with a cycle trail along the bed of and old narrow gauge railway. Walkers have the stunning South West Coast Path on the doorstep with dramatic walks in both directions. A great location for a holiday or a short break, all year round.
