This lovely detached cottage is situated in the small village of Taddington, six miles from both Buxton and Bakewell in the wonderful Peak District National Park. Ideal for a small family, this welcoming holiday home makes a great base at whatever time of year that you wish to visit. After parking your car on the front drive, you enter the property, where you will find the sitting room and kitchen/diner on the ground floor. The cosy sitting room boasts an open fire, so why not relax in front of the roaring flames after a day’s walking or cycling? Off the sitting room at the rear of the property is the kitchen with dining area, perfect for spending time together, perhaps whilst playing a board game? Upstairs are two bedrooms, the master has a king-size double and views over the Derbyshire countryside and there’s also a twin room available. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over and underfloor heating. Outside is a side courtyard area, where you may wish to enjoy a drink or two, or maybe a coffee before setting off to explore this superb area. The village of Taddington has a pub and church, and many walks and cycle routes can be enjoyed throughout the region. The spa town of Buxton and pretty market town of Bakewell are both close by, offering shops and pubs, as well as the famous Opera House in Buxton and 17th century market hall in Bakewell. Also within reach are Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale, and the stunning properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are well worth a visit. A great Peak District holiday home.
