The Cottage at Kempley House

This charming renovated bakers cottage is tucked away into the rural delights of Kempley, oozing with character and boasting exceptional features. Whether you are looking to enjoy a peaceful holiday with friends, or planning a romantic break for two, this retreat is a promising choice for an all round memorable stay. Enter into the open plan living area tied together with an exposed stone feature wall and overlooked by a high vaulted ceiling. The light and airy feel of this room makes a peaceful set up to return to throughout the day. To the other side, an L shaped kitchen holds a contemporary finish, with stylish units and all the essentials you need to prepare your favourite meals at ease. On this floor you will also find a bathroom housing both a bath and a shower, perfect for getting ready in the early hours or relaxing after a long adventure. Views of the garden and beyond can be admired as you prepare for the day ahead. After the sun sets, the king-size bedroom offers a spacious arrangement and you can wake up to lovely views from the window. Follow the staircase and you will arrive at a twin bedroom, neutrally designed with a characterful ceiling. Perfect for a peaceful nights sleep. Wander outside to the converted coach house which is elevated by exposed brickwork and a hot tub for you to escape into your own little world as the sun shines through the bi-fold doors. The village of Kempley and Queens Wood with its network of published walks are worth exploring along with the nearby market towns of Ross-on Wye and Ledbury – ‘Great independent shops and arty vibe’ Guardian Nov 2017. Both towns are surrounded by unspoilt countryside. Newent is certainly one of the most attractive towns in the Forest of Dean area and remains a thriving, unspoilt market town with interesting buildings to visit.

Two bedrooms: 1 x ground floor king-size double, 1 x first floor twin. Ground floor bathroom with bath, shower, basin and WC. First floor cloakroom with basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.
