Experience - The Area...
Located in the heart of St Teath village in the square opposite the clock tower is The Clock House, a spacious and comfortable end of terrace cottage sleeping up to eight.
Just across the road is The White Hart pub which serves delicious food, a fantastic Sunday lunch and local ales. The village store and post office is there for your added convenience with the Churchtown Cafe serving up homemade cake for you to enjoy with a morning cuppa. Last but by no means least is St Teath butchers who can provide you with all your meat and dairy requirements during your holiday.
Port Isaac, Port Quin (National Trust) and Port Gaverne are approximately 4 miles away and all well worth a visit.
The nearest beach at Trebarwith Strand is just over 4 miles away with the Port William pub providing a glorious and elevated position looking down onto the beach.
Further away (9 miles approximately) are the popular family beaches at Polzeath and Daymer Bay.
For the keen walkers in your party, the nearby Bodmin Moor can be accessed via the pretty village of Blisand which is just 6 miles away.
Stay - The Accommodation...
A small step leads up onto the covered porchway which in turn leads into the attractive living room. A feature Cornish fireplace takes centre stage with a mix of carpeted and original slate flagstone flooring leading down (via one step) into the traditionally furnished dining room with ample seating for a family meal or celebration. Also off the living room is the spacious kitchen/conservatory with additional dining table and chairs. The enclosed patio with garden furniture to the rear can be accessed from the conservatory.
A carpeted staircase with balustrade leads up to the four bedrooms, family bathroom WC and shower room WC.
Off the first landing to the right is a very spacious carpeted bedroom with king size bed and two attractive sash windows overlooking the front to the clock tower and church. To the left of the landing is the second carpeted double bedroom again looking over the front. There is a free standing wardrobe to this bedroom and a hanging area with clothes hangers to the other.
A further step up onto the second landing with original wooden flooring leads to the twin bedroom with built in wardrobe and wooden flooring. Next to the twin bedroom is the family bathroom WC with vinyl flooring, bath with overhead electric shower, basin and heated towel rail. A separate shower room WC is located next to the bunk bedroom and comprises of a shower cubicle with electric Miras shower, basin and heated towel rail. The bunk bedroom with window overlooking the pub and road to the side of the property has a set of full size bunk beds, wooden flooring and wardrobe.
Ample drawer space has been provided across all bedrooms.
The property is heated via a combination of wall mounted electric radiators downstairs with the wood burner to the living room for supplementary heat and night storage heaters to the upstairs. Please note that the fireplace in the dining room is not in use.
There is parking normally available within the square itself or further down past the church. Please note that parking is not guaranteed.
