Bacton, 1½ miles, Mundesley, 5 miles, Cromer, 12 miles, and Sheringham, 16 miles, all have sandy beaches. Cromer with promenade and pier. Sheringham is home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, passing through countryside designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, visiting nearby coastline villages. Livelier seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 22 miles, for fun fair, Sea Life Centre, indoor leisure complex with aqua pool, model village, butterfly farm, amusement arcades and shopping centre.
