Beautiful 2 bedroomed cottage set in the heart of the Yorkshire dales.
Read MoreTraditional decor set to a very high standard. Fully refurbished 2 years ago. One double bedroom, one twin bedroom. Lounge with a log burner stove. Fully equipped kitchen diner. Downstairs bathroom with a shower and a bath . Enclosed patio to the front of the property with seating and a bbq. Walk to the end of the lane and you are sraight into doggy heaven, long glorious walks through open countryside. Leyburn is 1 mile away with an array of local shops and eatery’s . Walking takes about 30 -40 minutes at a gentle pace.

Great walks from the doorstep. The gallops at Middleham where the racehorses are exercised each morning are fabulous although dogs must be on leads until 1pm, and all day during bird nesting season.
No mobile reception at the cottage on any network - you need to walk down to the main road - but there is wifi for wifi calling. Two vets within a mile.
Paved yard is gated but the gate has a cut out so it can open over the raised patio. Make sure the gap is blocked for smaller dogs as our Patterdale proved she can squeeze through it!
Dogs are not allowed on furniture (fair enough) and not upstairs either.
Cottage layout and furnishings not exactly as photos, bare flagstone floors and no rug in living room, so dog blanket/bed needed although raised bed with pad is provided for small dog.
The quoted refurbishment was obviously lovely but is now showing age (e.g. leaking shower hose/broken fridge door handle). Some issues were quickly fixed when we reported and we left feedback for owner on others so hopefully will be sorted soon. Notes say welcome pack not guaranteed and we didn't get a dog welcome pack either but there were some lovely biscuits plus coffee/tea sachets. Take milk if you want a cup of tea when you arrive!

This place is my little bit of heaven. My dogs are welcome, the cottage is beautiful and the scenery is stunning.
The most dog friendly cottage we have ever stayed in and they allow us to take 4 dogs!!
