There are two comfortable bedrooms at this cottage near Shrewsbury, one double set on a mezzanine level, plus a ground floor twin that can be conveniently converted into a super king-size double.
Guests will discover a welcoming, homely atmosphere at this cottage near Ironbridge, with the cosy sitting room boasting an original brick-built inglenook fireplace housing a warming woodburner. There are two outdoor sitting areas to choose from, both ideal for a quiet drink or an alfresco meal after taking a riverside stroll through the owner's land. This area of Shropshire is a fantastic choice for any lovers of the outdoors as there are miles of walks and cycle routes to enjoy through the countryside. Enjoy exciting day trips to Hoo Farm and meet the animals, which is just four miles away. Just a short drive away is Hawkstone Park Follies, a fantastic space with cliffs, caves, woods and crags to explore. There are towers, monuments and quaint little buildings to discover as well as a tea room where you can relax for a while. Visit Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site where there are a number of museums to enjoy including Blists Hill Victorian Town where you can step back in time and see how life used to be.
See the beautiful beamed buildings of Shrewsbury and Ludlow, both of which have a selection of shops and pubs and a castle. Shrewsbury, the birthplace of Charles Darwin, has over 600 listed buildings and many quaint streets and alleyways to spend the day strolling around. Why not take a picnic and enjoy picturesque Quarry Park. In Ludlow you will find many events throughout the year including popular Food and Drink Festival which takes place in September and the annual Medieval Christmas Fayre. Visit Wroxeter Roman City with its interesting ruins and vineyard, the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm or simply take to the nearby Long Mynd Hills above delightful Church Stretton for wonderful scenic walks.
