This refurbished contemporary barn conversion lies in the peaceful Cumbrian village of Long Marton.

Stevens Barn is a two bedroom property that adopts an upside-down approach across the layout of its three floors, enabling its living space to offer views of the surrounding fells.

The ground floor plays host to the property's two bedrooms. The master houses a king-size bed and you can have a lie-in or early night watching a DVD on your room's TV. The master also has its own en-suite shower room, while there is also a family bathroom on this level for the use of the other bedroom, itself housing a zip/link super king-size bed and an iPod dock. On the first floor you'll find the open-plan kitchen and dining space, with the second floor hosting the sitting area, with its character beams offering a proper cottage feel.

A small, walled courtyard garden to the rear offers privacy for a peaceful retreat at the end of your day.

Long Marton is a small village, but you can still buy some freshly baked bread from the local baker or sample the delights of the village pub.

The village location is ideal as it is just a few miles west of the Northern Pennines, so exploring the beauty from the Pennine Way is a fine way to spend your time. To the west, the Lake District, and less than half an hour's drive will find you in Pooley Bridge, from where you can enjoy all the activities around Ullswater, or perhaps a gentle lake trip.

Located in the picturesque area of the Eden Valley, Stevens Barn offers the perfect spot for two couples or a small family to enjoy an idyllic countryside break in Cumbria.

Across three floors. Two ground floor bedrooms: 2 x double, one with king-size bed, en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x zip/link defaulting to super-king, can be set to twin on request. Ground floor bathroom with shower over, basin and WC. First floor kitchen with additional dining area. Second floor sitting room.
