An exquisite detached cottage nestled in the heart of thriving Skellingthorpe, near the city of Lincoln. This stunning property presents highly spacious living areas throughout, with luxury furnishings and access to a range of local amenities. Resting in the centre of the village, it is the ideal place to bring the family looking to discover the Lincolnshire area. Even the bathroom is a talking point, with delightful modern fixtures in an all-white overtone and complementary wooden floors to coincide with the contemporary living downstairs. Step into the kitchen/diner where you will feel right at home and free to cook, bake and deliver your very best homemade delights in this well-equipped space. Sweep across the capacious wooden floors of the sitting room where you have lots of luxurious seating to choose from, a Smart TV to watch all your favourite programmes and a delightful inglenook fireplace to behold while the woodburner crackles away. This room is part of the fantastic extension, featuring wooden beams and a high apex ceiling. Swing open the sliding bi-fold doors on a light summer’s evening and enjoy the fresh air, sit out on the patio in the beautiful enclosed garden, and take in the village atmosphere. The cottage is on the National Cycle Network Sustrans route 64, which is a 3 mile safe and easy off road cycle into Lincoln centre as well as being just a one mile ride to the gorgeous cafe and gardens at Doddington Hall, with cycle hire being available. There are two pubs to visit in the local village and just 4 miles away is the city of Lincoln, where you can enjoy all manner of attractions such as Lincoln Castle houses, The Museum of Lincolnshire Life and the Usher Gallery. However, if it is walking trails you're looking for, the village has access to ancient woodland, a variety of wildlife and the local nature reserve in Whisby Nature Park. There is a celebration of 100 years of RAF this year and Skellingthorpe and Lincoln has very close ties to RAF, the International Bomber Command Memorial Spire which was inaugurated this year and is only 4 miles away. Starfield is a first-rate cottage in a spectacular position.
