Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the surrounding country is a walker’s paradise, with footpaths and trails leading across lush green fields and rolling hills. Very close by is Capel-le-Ferne, home to the touching and informative National Memorial to the Few, a place to reflect upon, and learn about Britain’s air defences during WWII. Just two miles away is Dover, for day trips across the Channel, as well as a wealth of cultural and historical attractions for you to enjoy, not forgetting the absolutely iconic White Cliffs of Dover. With the golden sands of Margate also within easy reach, not to mention the historical city of Canterbury, Spitfire Barn is the perfect base from which to explore all Kent has to offer.
