Downstairs there is a cosy lounge and separate dining room, both with open fires. There's a TV, DVD, loads of books and games for rainy days and lazy evenings in front of the fire. Both rooms have views across the combe. The kitchen is to the rear of the cottage and is equipped with an electric oven, hob, fridge (with ice box), microwave, electric kettle, toaster, and washer-dryer.
Upstairs is the bathroom, comprising shower over the bath, toilet and hand basin. The two bedrooms are also upstairs, one double bed and one twin room, both have views to the front of the cottage and you can hear the stream running alongside the garden at the front.
Wifi, central heating and electricity are included. Coal and logs are available in Porlock.
Bed linen and towels are provided. Please bring your own towels for use in the garden or if you wish to take them on day trips.
Please note, there is no cot or stair gate, but there is a highchair available if required.
Doors from the kitchen and sitting room both open onto the enclosed courtyard directly behind the property, table and chairs are provided, with access to a second (outside) toilet.
Just across the quiet lane, a 5-bar gate opens into the lawned garden area, which is for the private use of Robin's Brook guests. One side of the lawn is boarded by the river which runs down the far side of the garden, therefore children must be supervised at all times. The garden also has a picnic table, swing and a lovely view of Hurlestone Down.
Turn left out of the front door for an easy walk to the varied shops, pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and galleries of Porlock. Turn right to walk up through Hawkcombe woods and on to stunning moorland scenery, looking out for red deer and Exmoor ponies as you go.
This is excellent dog-walking country and Exmoor also includes many dog-friendly pubs and tea rooms too.
