Step through the dwelling and into the dining room, where you will be greeted by traditional charm in the wooden furnishings of the room together; gather here to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal, play board games, or simply enjoy one-another’s company at the end of an action-packed day, this area is fantastic for entertaining family and friends, there is a handy second dining and living space close by seating a further four to five people. Steps leading down from the main dining room will bring you to the first bedroom, consisting of a double bed with fairy lights and featuring a freestanding bath, this room is sure to add to the character of the property. Moving towards the rear of the property will lead you a small kitchen space which goes hand in hand with the main kitchen proving additional fridge and oven space and an array of appliances. This dwelling is careful to cater for all of your holiday needs, so you can spend more time relaxing amongst the glorious settings of Snowdonia. Two sitting rooms provide the perfect space to unwind in between adventures, both holding contemporary furnishings and televisions for your entertainment, the rooms are a great spot for any time of day with the woodburning stove providing that added touch of home comfort. On the first floor lies the second bedroom, comprising of a double and a day bed, there’s no better place for family and friends to catch up on their rest, with the views of the countryside sunsets offering an extra special touch. Take the steps down from the first-floor bedroom and enjoy the views up close in the rear lawned garden, offering panoramic views and natural wonder, the garden is an ideal spot for alfresco dining in the summer months with your loved ones. After a day of adventure, retreat to one of the three double bedrooms on the first floor, all offering their own unique charm and bright and airy settings, you can ensure that each member of the group has a delightful spot to rest in between fun-filled days. The bedrooms are also serviced by a gleaming bathroom, accessed via a set of stairs on the first floor the quirky set up of this room allows you to choose how to best prepare for your day with either a soak in the bath or a refreshing rinse in the shower. There is also an additional shower room located on the ground floor. Beautiful in all weathers and seasons, the valley is steeped in folk lore, stories of giants, fairies and bandits. Footpaths criss cross the valley, there’s one leading down to Llanuwchllyn village which is about a mile and a half away. Here you can take a ride on the narrow-gauge railway which runs along the east shore of the lake from Llanuwchllyn to Bala, or visit the famous Eagles Pub for one of their farm grown, home cooked, meals. Or you might want to travel in the opposite direction to lake Vyrnwy. A truly magical place with RSPB reserve, bicycle hire and country hotel and spa serving afternoon teas, relaxing beauty treatments and country pursuits such as clay pigeon shooting, and fly fishing – all of which are open to non residents. Bala itself is a 10 minute drive away (approx 6 miles) There are a good selection of independent shops, 2 award winning butchers, grocers, restaurants and takeaways.There is also a small supermarket and Waitrose, Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s all deliver. There are two sailing clubs on the lake and hire facilities for canoeing and kayaking. There’s also a leisure centre with a swimming pool, a golf club which offers summer membership, and white water rafting at the national centre. So whether you’re a hardened hill walker or casual ambler, you want to fish for trout or tiddlers, watch red kites or robins, go thrill seeking, or take a scenic drive, visit the seaside (Barmouth is about 35 minutes away) or the moors or mountains or simply escape from it all for a while, light the fire and truly relax in beautiful tranquil surroundings, Rhyd y Bod Bach provides a wondrous base for a rural retreat with your loved ones.
