Prides Cottage

This charming semi-detached thatched cottage is in the village of Child Okeford, set six miles from Blandford Forum in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This quaint cottage provides ideal accommodation with some lovely features including exposed beams, window seats and views out to the garden. You will feel at home as soon as you arrive as the entire cottage has been comfortably decorated. There is a cosy sitting room with a woodburning stove and the fantastic extra benefit of a garden room which has bi-fold doors opening to the very pretty garden. The country-style kitchen has a gas Masterchef AGA so you can prepare some delicious meals and there is a dining area so you can enjoy socialising together. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one of which has a Victorian king-size iron bed and an original fireplace. The delightful enclosed rear pet-safe garden has flower beds, a gravelled area and furniture so you can take your meals outside during the summer months. There are lovely views out to Hambledon Hill which will inspire you to pull on your walking boots and go adventuring. The cottage is set on a national cycleway which opens up miles of countryside to discover and there are a number of stately homes nearby. There are also a few more unusual attractions including Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum and the Fleet Air Arm Museum. With a number of towns and villages nearby, Prides Cottage is the perfect base as well as being ideal for dogs.
