Birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts can visit nearby Swanpool Nature Reserve. Sub-tropical gardens can be found nearby, including Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick. The area can also be explored on the water, with a choice of ferry services available, including the St Mawes Ferry, or take a day or evening cruises along the coastline and down the beautiful Helford River.
