Plas Tirion

This beautifully presented Victorian, detached house is the perfect place to host gatherings with family and friends.. Meaning ‘Pleasant Hall’, Plas Tirion is a stunning three-storey Victorian, detached house, which offers spacious and comfortable accommodation that is ideal for families and groups of friends. Enjoying an elevated position with picturesque views over the Vale of Clwyd, this former ‘gentleman’s residence’ oozes charm and character, offering all the modern comforts guests need, alongside lots of period features which include original floors, fireplaces, and stained glass windows. The property is beautifully presented and sympathetically furnished to maintain its character.
The house is surrounded by pleasant landscaped gardens and there is a patio area with seating for 8 guests. To the rear of the house is a porch, where guests can keep their bikes. From here there is a little secret doorway, which is accessed via several stone steps, that leads onto the open fields that run behind the property.
Located in the quiet hamlet of Pentrecoch, Plas Tirion lies nestled within the Clywydian Mountain Range, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The nearest pub, in Llanfair DC, is a pleasant stroll of less than a mile and the neighbouring village of Graigfechan, which also has a pub serving food, is 2 miles away. From this village you can take a circular walk which joins the Offa’s Dyke path, taking in glorious views of the Vale of Clwyd. Perfect for those who love the great outdoors, there are lots of great walks in the area. Offa’s Dyke Path is within half a mile, or for those who want a more challenging walk, Snowdonia National Park is just a 40 minute drive away. Other popular activities available locally include golf, trout fishing and mountain biking.
Whilst enjoying a peaceful location, Plas Tirion is also well placed for exploring all that North Wales has to offer and there are lots to see and do within easy driving distance. The medieval market town of Ruthin, which has its own castle dating back to 13th century, as well as other historical buildings, is just under 3 miles away. Here you will find a good selection of shops, bars and eateries. Other towns in the area offering a wide range of amenities including Wrexham, 15 miles, and Mold, 11 miles. Part of an UNESCO World Heritage Site, Llangollen, 13 miles away, is a great day out with its heritage railway and horse drawn barges along the canal. Llangollen hosts many events throughout the year including the International Musical Eisteddfod and Fringe Festival in July, Food Festival in October and the Christmas Festival at the end of November. Another popular day out is to the historic city of Chester, 25 miles away, with its famous racecourse, city walls and of course the ever popular Chester Zoo. Why not explore the city on an open top bus or take a boat ride along the River Dee. The vibrant city of Liverpool, with its great nightlife, fantastic shopping and wealth of attractions is 35 miles and can be reached in around an hour.
