You also have the added utility room, with fridge/freezer and washing machine so you have an advantage of extra space in the kitchen area. The sitting room features a lovely wood burner, so if you're feeling chilly during the winter season, turn up the heat and get cosy on the deluxe leather sofas. You will be overwhelmed by the panoramic, picturesque views from the garden which features a barbecue and exceptionally large hot tub, so why not take a nice hot soak after a long day of country hiking before your evening meal, should you choose to dine indoors or out, you have the option. In Builth Wells, just a 10-minute drive away is the RWAS showground, home of the Royal Welsh Show, hosting other big public events all-year-round. The highlights are the Spring Festival held in May for smallholding, gardening and sustainable living enthusiasts and the Winter Fair, held in December which features livestock displays and a huge Christmas market. Hay-on-Wye is a 20 minute drive in the opposite direction which features historic sites, mountainous walks and many shops to visit. Pen Y Maes is of superb quality and professional finish throughout with lovely modern fixtures, an ideal holiday location, sitting just below the ruins of historical Aberedw Castle.
