Oonavara

Set in the picturesque and popular village of Rhosneigr, on the west coast of Anglesey, Oonavara is quite simply the holiday house to enjoy time with friends and family. With rooms of all shapes and sizes, there is always a place to relax and enjoy the views of Rhosneigr beach. The wonderful view is a great distraction from cooking in this well-equipped kitchen. The AGA makes cooking so much easier, together with an electric cooker and hob, American style fridge and freezer and all the utensils you need for preparing delicious meals. The breakfast room, which is part of the kitchen, also enjoys the glorious view. The light pours into the first sitting room. There are masses of comfy chairs and an open fire for chilly wintry nights. Leading off this room is the second sitting room - and what a room this is! A spectacular Arts and Crafts fireplace warms this double height room which opens up to the first floor with a gallery above, and a delightful sunroom to the front. It is the perfect spot for quietly sitting and soaking up the view whilst listening to the Oystercatchers on the beach. There is a wet room downstairs with a bath, loo, wash hand basin and shower. There are two additional loos downstairs. To any children’s delight, upstairs there is a Den with a TV, games and a football table. There are six bedrooms. Three double bedrooms, two twin rooms and a single bedroom. The fireplaces in some of these rooms are exquisite. The bedrooms are all spacious and light. The front rooms all enjoy breathtaking views of the sea. The rooms on the garden side of the house have the mountains of Snowdonia as the backdrop to their view, but all have uninterrupted sea views! The upstairs bathroom has a bath, loo and wash hand basin. You'll find a large enclosed garden with shrubs and flower beds. This is another place where you will find a spot to stretch out on a deck chair and read your book. The garden at the back of the house is spacious enough to play a game of football or cricket. It's also sheltered and private so even on a slightly windier spring or summer day, you could still make the most of the fabulous weather and enjoy a BBQ together. The terrace to the front of the house has the most incredible views across to Snowdonia and it's the perfect place to enjoy a sundowner. The outside space is definitely as impressive as the joys of the inside decor in this beautiful home from home. There is a low wall along the front of the house which is about 2ft high with a big 8ft drop the other side. Please be aware for young children or dogs. Oonavara is a perfect holiday house for relaxing with friends or family. The careful mix of Arts and Crafts and 21st Century essentials make this a unique place to have a very happy holiday.
