Nightingale Cottage

East Taphouse 1 mile. Ideally located for touring the south coast of Cornwall, this ultra-cosy yet spacious cottage is set within a small cluster of cottages near a farm, close to East Taphouse on the road to the famous fishing port of Looe. Nightingale Cottage has been specifically designed for a couple wanting somewhere special for a romantic break away together. On entering the cottage you will enjoy the character immediately, with quality furnishings and underfloor heating adding to the luxury that exudes throughout. The ground floor is open plan, with a well-equipped kitchen, and cosy sitting and dining areas. As you climb the stairs you reach a beautifully decorated and furnished bedroom, complete with king-size bed and woodburning stove. The bathroom is en-suite, with a small corner bath for complete relaxation. Outside is your own pretty English cottage garden with seating and a BBQ, perfect for alfresco dining. The small town of Looe is approximately nine miles away, and centres around a harbour, and along the valley of the river which flows down to the sea and to a lovely sandy beach. Idyllic Looe Island is a nature reserve which, depending on the time of year, is possible to walk right around and is well worth the short ferry trip. Polperro, a famous quaint fishing village and harbour, is also a must visit and is only four miles from Looe. With major attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan also within easy reach, Nightingale Cottage offers so much to do and see, as well as being a perfect romantic retreat at any time of the year.
