Llanberis 3 miles. A lovely end-terrace character cottage situated on a quiet lane, located in the centre of the pretty village of Brynrefail, near Llanberis. With the village surrounded by countryside and situated right on the doorstep of the Snowdonia National Park, this cottage would certainly appeal to keen walkers and outdoor pursuit enthusiasts, providing the perfect base for a couple, two friends or a small family wishing to spend some quality time together exploring wonderful North Wales. This charming cottage has been thoughtfully renovated to ensure that you feel right at home from the moment you arrive, with lovely little touches such as the fireplace with exposed stone and a slate lintel surrounding a warming electric woodburner-effect stove in the sitting room. The exposed beams add even more character, making this sitting room a cosy haven to return to after a day walking on the mountains, whilst the well-appointed kitchen caters for all your needs and has a splendid dining area. The ground floor bathroom has a fabulous wall and window feature and there’s also the added benefit of a very useful utility room. On the first floor, two delightful bedrooms are on offer, a double boasting some great views to the front of the property and a single, whilst the convenient addition of a cloakroom completes your holiday home. To the front of the cottage is an enclosed seating area where you can enjoy your morning cup of coffee before heading out and about for the rest of the day, returning to soak up some sun on the raised patio area to the side of the cottage, an ideal spot for dining alfresco whilst drinking in the wonderful countryside scenery with a glass of something cool. There are plenty of walks and cycle paths from the door and the cottage provides a great base from which to explore the local area, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Llanberis is the gateway to the majestic peak of Snowdon and nearby Caernarfon with its impressive heritage castle is well worth a visit. The hauntingly beautiful North Wales coast is easily accessible too, as are other attractions such as Llechwedd Slate Caverns, the Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam railway or Portmeirion Italian village and gardens, not to mention the sweeping sands of the Llyn Peninsula. There is something for everyone in the area and this cottage is the perfect starting point from which to access it all year round.
