From this charming cottage you can walk further into the Langdale Valley over Lingmoor to Great Langdale. Alternatively, cross the River Brathay at the local ford, and take a route to Tilberthwaite – the paths and bridleways are never ending. You are sure to encounter some of the local Herdwick sheep which gentle roam the fells and are iconic symbols of the Lake District.
