This delightful home is in the coastal village of Strete, close to the Blue Flag beach of Blackpool Sands. The cottage style accommodation is over two floors, perfect for a family of four or two couples looking for a British seaside holiday. The interior is stylish and welcoming with a lovely open plan living and dining room, beautifully furnished with a couple of grey sofas around a wood burning stove… perfect for the cooler months. An archway leads through to the fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar and stools. Upstairs the two bedrooms are very pretty with lovely bedding and furnishings. Horizon has front and rear courtyards, a great spot for relaxing with a glass of wine over dinner.
Strete is an excellent base from which to explore South Devon and a great place for walking too with the South West Coastal Path offering some fabulous coastal strolls right on the doorstep.
Nearby Dartmouth is a historical naval town, the narrow winding streets are packed with independent cafes, delis, stylish shops and galleries. Stroll along the quay and do a spot of crabbing or take the ferry across the River Dart to Kingswear for a spot of lunch. This area of South Devon has some of the best beaches around with surfing available at Bantham and Bigbury on Sea (about a half an hour drive away). Try paddle boarding at South Sands near Salcombe, take a stroll into the town - very chic and pretty with its fair share of expensive yachts and a firm favourite with sailors. Don’t forget to try South Devon crab… it’s amazing!

Front and rear courtyard. Electric radiators throughout. Electricity is included in the rent. Wood burner (wood can be purchased from the local post office). Nearest pub 0.2 miles. Nearest shop 0.2 miles. 2 well behaved pets allowed downstairs only (please use stair gate if necessary). No smoking. Mobile signal can be patchy.
Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
