A stone terrace cottage in the village of Holmbridge in West Yorkshire. This quiet, well-positioned accommodation is perfect for couples, especially those who enjoy hiking, cycling, or simply getting away from the hustle and bustle for a romantic break in this delightful village. Entering the cottage from the neat stone patio with seating area, you step directly into the cozy, open plan living area with a comfortable sofa (for occasional use as a sofabed), a TV, oak dining table and a well-equipped kitchen with the oven set into the original fieldstone fireplace. The ground floor is newly decorated in cheerful reds and browns, creating the perfect space for a relaxing break. Climb the original narrow stone staircase to the first floor, which offers a newly decorated, spacious, bright bedroom with generous storage, and pleasant views across the village of Holmbridge and the countryside beyond. The bed can be made up as one super king size, or two singles. Beside the bedroom is a modern, stylish bathroom, and a separate utility area with new washer and dryer. Steps from the front door, a public footpath leads directly up into the Pennines and a network of walking, biking, and hiking trails including the nearby Pennine Way. Holmbridge is a classic West Yorkshire village, with a river, 2 pubs (one is a brewpub/restaurant) within walking distance of the cottage, a village shop, and a cricket field. The nearby town of Holmfirth is famous for its connection with the Last of the Summer Wine series, and offers shops, bars and an incredible variety of restaurants, festivals, and concerts. This part of Yorkshire has all the attractions of well known Yorkshire holiday destinations – without the crowds.
