Situated within the village of Peterchurch, High House has beamed ceilings and a sunny patio for al fresco dining and enjoys an electric wood burner, private hot tub and gives easy access to the beautiful surrounding countryside that is loved so much by walkers. With the Herefordshire Trail, Marches Way and Offa’s Dyke to name but a few of the public footpaths to explore. The Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains are well worth visiting and offer some breathtaking scenery.
There are plenty of historical places of interest, including National Trust properties, castles, Dore Abbey and Hereford Cathedral with its Mappa Mundi Centre and Chained Library. The ever popular Hay-on-Wye is approximately 10 miles and famous for its literary festivals which attract visitors worldwide, it also has many independent shops such as crafts and galleries. Hereford is only 12 miles and Abergavenny, 20 miles, host many food festivals and markets. There are local pubs in the village that also serve food. After a day exploring, what better than to unwind and relax in the hot tub, which is partially covered in the cooler months, or cosy up in front of the wood burner. Shop 30 yards, pub 10 yards and restaurant 50 yards.
