A charming end-terrace stone cottage, situated in the small village of Snainton, between Scarborough and Pickering. Well placed for exploring both the nearby seaside towns and the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors National Park, it will appeal to both families and friends. Warm and characterful, the property is traditionally furnished, with a lovely homely feel to it. The comfortable sitting room has a cosy open fire, perfect to relax around in the cooler months, whilst the small modern kitchen enables guests to prepare tasty meals. Upstairs, is a romantic four poster double bedroom and a bunk bed room, along with a family bathroom, for a great holiday. Snainton is well-served, with a local inn just across the road from the cottage and the village shop and fish and chips a couple of minutes away, whilst the riding centre will be a big hit with the children. The area abounds with public footpaths, both in the beautiful Forge Valley and Dalby Forest, which has numerous walking trails and cycling tracks for all abilities. The popular seaside town of Scarborough is a few minutes’ drive and offers something for everyone, with its two sweeping sandy bays, joined by a long promenade, with the castle ruins perched high on the cliffs above. With donkey rides, amusements and candy floss to enjoy and some excellent restaurants, cafes and tea rooms, you are spoilt for choice. There are many attractions in this old Victorian resort, including the open air theatre in Peasholm Park, the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round, the Sealife Centre at Northbay as well as art galleries and museums. The surrounding countryside is an absolute delight, with the heather clad moors dotted with tiny villages and pretty market towns, including Malton and Pickering. Pickering is home to the famous North York Moors Steam Railway, well worth a trip, or maybe try your luck at the trout farm or visit the castle ruins. With so many attractions in this wonderful location, guests will enjoy a varied and interesting holiday.
