This lovely, semi-detached cottage is located in the grounds of the owners’ smallholding, near to the village of Slaithwaite in the South Pennines, close to the Peak District National Park. Situated up a long private lane, with access to 28 acres of moorland, this cottage near Slaithwaite is attached to the owners’ garage and offers a peaceful rural retreat in the magnificent West Yorkshire countryside. The ground floor accommodation at this cottage near Holmfirth consists of a well-equipped kitchen with a dining table and a superb sitting room with masses of character. Sit back and relax under the beamed ceiling as you light the woodburning stove and sink into the comfy sofas to while away the evening. The first floor boasts a superb super king-size bed with an en-suite shower room, offering a spot of luxury in these fantastic surroundings. Sip a morning coffee on the patio as you plan the day’s adventures, or say hello to the resident donkeys that live in the field next to your South Pennines cottage. Situated between the old woollen mill villages of Slaithwaite and Marsden, this Peak District cottage has a good selection of shops and pubs within a couple of miles. The area is packed with wonderful walking and cycling opportunities, including the Pennine Way, and with a number of reservoirs close by, there is plenty of interesting wildlife to discover. The popular town of Holmfirth is just a short drive away and from there you can access miles of picturesque countryside in the Peak District National Park. A wonderful Slaithwaite cottage, perfect for walkers, cyclists, nature lovers, and anyone who just fancies a little bit of peace and quiet.
