This beautifully presented holiday property forms the East Wing of a larger house which has been expertly converted to provide light and airy holiday accommodation to an extremely high standard throughout. This tastefully styled home makes the ideal base for couples or families. With a lovely community feel, Shroton has a village hall, children’s playground, and traditional pub serving real ales and food. The cricket green is the hub of the village and East Wing is a great spot for watching the sport throughout the season.
Nestled under Hambledon Hill, an Iron Age hill fort owned by the National Trust, where guests can take advantage of the extensive walks from the doorstep and take in the magnificent views over Blackmore Vale and the property has within easy access for ramblers to the Wessex Ridgeway, Jubilee Trail and the Stour Valley Way. You can can also walk or cycle along the North Dorest Trailway which goes along a dismantled railway line from Stalbridge to Spetisbury with regular views of River Stour. Blandford Forum is about 6 miles away, and places to visit include Stourhead House and Garden; Kingston Lacey; Sherborne Castle and Bovington Tank Museum. The cottage is within easy reach of the cathedral city of Salisbury, and convenient for road links to Winchester, the New Forest and Christchurch Harbour. Beach 20 miles.
