2 self contained first floor apartments, each sleeping 2 people. Set in the middle of a working farm, walks from the door, large garden and farm trails. Lots of parking, local pubs and restaurants approx 2 miles. Lots of local knowledge and maps and books to enhance your stay.
Read MoreThis large rural farmhouse is set on a gentle hill overlooking the Waveney Valley between Bungay and Harleston. The 2 spacious first floor apartments are self contained, sharing an entrance door and stairs., each with superb views over the garden and countryside. The accommodation boast antique furniture, but each apartment has a comfortable sitting area with sofa and easy chairs with a Freeview TV and a DVD player. Both apartments have extensive facilities.
Free WiFi is available throughout the building. The kitchen/diners have plenty of cutlery, crockery, pots pans etc, as well as a microwave, full size gas cooker, kettle, toaster, fridge /freezer and a washer dryer.
The outdoor, award winning high welfare pig unit on the farm provides guests with sausages, guests are welcome to purchase them to eat in or take away
The lovely gardens are always available for guest to use, there are several sitting areas both on the sunny terrace and in a more shady spot. The walking from the farmhouse is superb, there are shorter walks around the farm tracks (with a written “talkround “and a map) Maps and guide books are available to guests who want to explore further afield.
There are lots of interesting places to visit in the area. Close by is the Flixton aviation museum, specializing in WW2 and the Earsham Wetlands Centre, Bressingham Gardens, the coast, Southwold, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth are about half an hour away, as is Norwich and the centre of the Broads National Park. Canoes and boats can be hired on the Waveney. There are an enormous variety of birds to see on this wildlife friendly farm.
Bungay is about 2 and a half miles away and Beccles 7 miles.
The house is heated with a big wood fuel boiler and so is warm and cosy in the winter, additional electric heating is provided in case anyone feels the cold, however the welcome is always warm at Earsham Park Farm!
