Droop Farm Cottage

Set behind the owners’ ancient farmhouse, and sensitively converted from a 300-year-old stone barn, Droop Farm Cottage has plenty to offer a group of family or friends seeking to get away from it all. You will be impressed by the elegant and homely feel throughout, wonderful welcome basket provided with Tracey's own homemade marmalade and cake! With the exterior stone work representing everything that is quintessential about small, English cottages. The small windows and slate roof really add to the character, with the interior carefully thought out to provide the best experience for visiting guests. The décor and soft furnishings give a sense of continuity as you pass through from room to room. Outside, there is plenty of room to explore as well as space to sit and admire the views which stretch off into the distance towards Bulbarrow Hill. We have stayed here for the past 3 consecutive years and we can’t wait to go back. The cottage itself is beautiful, immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. The owners David and Tracey, are lovely, very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. Tracey also makes her own jams, marmalade’s and chutneys which are simply delicious. Their pretty, well cared for private garden is perfect for our Welsh Springer Spaniel to mooch about in . The owners dog (a delightful little Westie called Alfie) is a real character and often pops round to say hello to us and Megan! There is not only a substantial welcome pack for us but also some mini Bonio’s and even a ball for the dog! We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. A hidden gem.
