It’s only a little further for the gloriously scenic drive further into the Snowdonia National Park and Snowdon itself. Explore steam railways, slate mines, horse-drawn canal barges, Cadw and National Trust properties. A short car journey offers go-karting, white water rafting, paint balling, horse riding and climbing whilst the pretty town of Ruthin with its fascinating architecture, fearsome gaol (offering a warm welcome to today’s visitors) and numerous eateries is well worth a visit.
